By becoming a member of Unitas Humanitas – International Humanitarian Organization, you contribute directly to supporting vulnerable children, families, and communities who need hope, education, nutrition, health, and dignity.
Your annual membership allows us to: Develop sustainable humanitarian projects. Respond quickly to urgent needs. Give a voice to the most vulnerable. Build a fairer and more supportive future.
As a member, you benefit from: Voting rights at the General Assembly. Priority access to our activities, reports, and news. Participation in the development of our vision. Official recognition as a committed member.
Membership Policy
1. Purpose
This Membership Policy establishes the conditions, rights, responsibilities, and procedures applicable to any person wishing to become a member of Unitas Humanitas, International Humanitarian Organization (hereinafter referred to as "the Organization").
2. Membership Types
Community, Associate, Supporting and Benefactor : Participates in activities, receives communications, and holds voting rights. Member are any person who adheres to the Organization’s humanitarian mission and wishes to participate actively in its development.

Features: Pays the annual membership fee. Holds voting rights at the General Assembly. Receives all official communications, annual reports, and internal information. All Members constitutes the democratic base of the NPO. They are morally involved in the mission, support the actions, and represent the active community. May propose ideas, projects, activities, or recommendations to the Board of Directors. May participate in committees, working groups, or local initiatives.
3. Eligibility : To become a member, you must: Be at least 18 years old. Support the Organization's mission and values. Agree to comply with its bylaws, regulations, and internal policies. Pay the annual membership fee set by the Organization.
4. Membership Procedure : Submit a membership form (online). Pay the annual membership fee. Membership is confirmed by email once the application is approved.
5. Membership Fees : Fees may be adjusted annually by decision of the Board of Directors:

| Type 3 - Supporting Member | $100 CAD / year |
| Type 4 - Benefactor Member | $200 CAD / year |
6. Duration of Membership : Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of payment. It must be renewed annually.
7. Members' Rights : Members have the right to: Participate in General Assemblies. Vote on important decisions. Receive activity reports. Propose ideas, initiatives, or projects. Participate in activities organized by the Organization.
8. Members' Obligations : Members commit to: Respect the humanitarian values of the Organization. Promote the image and mission of the NPO. Act ethically and non-discriminatorily. Respect decisions democratically taken by the Board of Directors.
9. Suspension or Revocation : A member may be suspended or revoked if: They act contrary to the Organization’s values. They intentionally harm the activities or reputation of the NPO. They refuse to comply with the bylaws or regulations. They fail to pay their membership fees. The decision is made by the Board of Directors after fair review.
10. Resignation : A member may resign at any time by sending written notice to admin@unitashumanitas.ca. Fees already paid are non-refundable.
11. Confidentiality and Data Protection : Members' personal information is used exclusively for internal management and is never shared without consent.
12. Refund Policy : At Unitas Humanitas, we want our members to be satisfied. Here are the conditions for membership refunds:

Refund Deadline: You may request a refund within 29 days after registration.

Accepted Reasons: Duplicate payment or payment error. Voluntary cancellation of membership within the stated deadline.

Unaccepted Reasons: Membership already used (participation in events, services, etc.). Requests made after the refund deadline.

How to Request a Refund: Send an email to admin@unitashumanitas.ca with your name, member number, amount paid, date of payment, and reason for the request. We will process your request within 5 business days, and the refund will be issued to the same payment method within 14 days. For any questions, contact us at admin@unitashumanitas.ca.
13. Effective Date : This policy shall take effect on the date of its adoption by the Board of Directors.
