Donation and Refund Policy – Unitas Humanitas
Effective Date: November 14, 2025
At Unitas Humanitas, we value the transparency and trust of our donors. This policy outlines the conditions regarding donations, refunds, and specific situations.
1. Donations : Donations can be made via our website, bank transfer, check, or any other method accepted by the NPO. As of this date, donations to Unitas Humanitas are not eligible for a tax deduction. We thank you nonetheless for your valuable support. "We are mobilizing to obtain this right."
A donation confirmation will be sent to the email address provided by the donor.
2. Nature of Donations : All donations are considered irrevocable and directly serve to support the NPO's activities and missions. Once the donation is made, it cannot normally be recovered, except in certain exceptional situations (payment error, duplicate payment).
3. Donation Refunds : Refunds are possible only in the following situations:

Payment Error or Duplicate Payment: The donor mistakenly paid the same amount twice.

Accidental Payment: Incorrect amount or wrong transaction.
Process for Requesting a Refund
Send an email to admin@unitashumanitas.ca with:

Full Name

Date and amount of the donation

Payment method used

Reason for the request
The Unitas Humanitas team will review the request and confirm the decision within 5 business days.
If the refund is accepted, the amount will be credited back to the same payment method used for the donation, within 14 days.
4. Non-Refundable Donations

Donations voluntarily made to support the NPO.

Donations that have already been used to fund projects or activities.

Donations made outside the notification deadline for errors or duplicate payments.
5. Policy Modifications : Unitas Humanitas reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Donors will be informed of any modifications via the website or by email.
